Peninsula Villages is looking for eager, enthusiastic volunteers to help drive the community bus.
Requiring a license to drive Class B vehicles, volunteers would be able to decide which days they drive and are only asked to lend a hand to the Village when they are able.
Two buses currently operate within the Peninsula Villages community and both go out most days, so anyone with availability is encouraged to get in touch.
Drivers are responsible for the bus alone, and may assist staff by helping to operate the lifter which allows wheelchair-bound residents to board. Outside of this, staff are responsible for all Village residents.
Lunch will be provided each day a volunteer is present, whether it be on site or on an outing, and a current police check will be funded by the Village if any interested volunteers are currently without one.
Volunteers are also supplied a Peninsula Villages t-shirt for their assistance.
For further information or to register your interest contact Paula Newman at Peninsula Villages on 4344 9199.
