Peninsula Villages is proudly supporting Newcastle Airport in its Mental Health display by donating 200 paper aeroplanes folded by our residents.
The Leisure and Lifestyle team at the Village got residents started in making some planes for our rocket race as we celebrated the 50th moon landing anniversary last month. This kicked off our collection and then together with the Wallaby Street Early Learning Centre children, we commenced our aim to make 200 planes.
The residents have had great fun making the planes with design styles differing and some even have personal touches added including extra embellishments and choice of paper colour!
Newcastle Airport is planning to raise awareness about Mental Health with a community display of paper folded aeroplanes. Peninsula Villages is one of many community groups that will be contributing donated planes for this special display!
