On Tuesday 1 October, Peninsula Villages held a special celebration to mark the official opening of the new Tea House, outdoor deck and surrounding area at the Village - a project that has been in the works for more than six months.
Staff and residents of Peninsula Village were joined by children from the Umina Kids Club and Wallaby Street Early Learning Centre as well as Central Coast Councillor Chris Holstein, members of our Honorary Board and families of our residents.
Aside from official opening celebrations including a ribbon cutting and toast to the new area, the event included a special ceremony to launch 'Tim' the turtle back into his home in the revamped Tea House pond. We also had our favourite town crier on hand to help officially welcome Tim the Turtle and his fish friends back to the Village with the help of the lovely children.
