Updated NSW Health Advice – Updated 18 May 2021

There has been an update in the advice from NSW Health for aged care facilities.

In summary:

  • MASKS ARE NO LONGER REQUIRED by visitors and staff
  • Evidence of 2021 flu vaccines by 1 June for visitors and staff unless exceptional circumstances or medically exempt
  • Visitors and staff must not enter the facility at all if they:

  • have been to any close or casual contact locations in NSW or Interstate places of high concern
  • have COVID-19 symptoms - fever (37. 5°C or higher) or symptoms of COVID-19
  • are a close contact of a person with confirmed COVID-19 and are within their self-isolation period
  • live in a household with a person who is currently self-isolating
  • are waiting for a COVID-19 test result
  • Residents who are attending outings and excursions should ensure that:
  • They avoid crowded indoor areas, such as shopping centres and restaurants
  • the event complies with the current Public Health Gathering Restriction Order 2021
  • sanitiser

    If you were at a listed location during the date and time indicated, do not come to work. Contact your manager and following the health advice for that location

    Victoria COVID-19 case locations

    There are multiple COVID-19 case locations in Victoria. If you have been in Victoria in the last 14 days, visit NSW Government – Interstate Travellers for the rules and restrictions that apply for people arriving in NSW from Victoria.
