About the role: 

Are you new to the aged care sector and looking for the ideal starter role? Peninsula Villages is pleased to offer trainee positions, perfect for those with an interest in building a career in aged care but with limited or no experience.

The Traineeship program is designed to support students with their learning and allow them to gain valuable work experience at the same time. If you are successful in applying for a traineeship, you will complete a CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) onsite with fee-free training (subsidised by the NSW Government), which is delivered by ET Australia, and work in a clinical setting whilst you are mentored to develop your skills. Have you thought about working in aged care before, but you’re not quite sure if it’s for you? A Traineeship program is a perfect way for you to experience working in aged care in a supported environment.

About you:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Vaccinated against COVID-19

  • Ability to complete tasks that include manual handling

Peninsula Villages plans to start the traineeship in June 2024. If we have sufficient interest, an additional traineeship program will be offered in October 2024.

Offers of employment will be subject to police certificate requirements in accordance with Police Certificate Guidelines for Aged Care Providers, a minimum of 2 COVID-19 vaccinations and a functional assessment.
