Peninsula Villages is one of only a few aged care providers within NSW that has a full-time, on site Nurse Practitioner to assist residents who require ongoing or one-off care.
Nurse Practitioners have a higher level of training than Registered Nurses and are able to independently diagnose, prescribe medications and treat health conditions within their scope of practice.
Nurse Practitioners sit in between a Registered Nurse and a Doctor in terms of skills and training. Peninsula Villages employ a Nurse Practitioner as a member of our care team in order to improve residents access to necessary assessment and treatment.
Our Nurse Practitioner at Peninsula Villages can assist residents with scripts, chronic disease management and general care check-ups.
